Someone has deliberately severed three high-capacity lines which facilitate massive data services in the heart of California’s tech industry. FBI officials have speculated that the saboteur has been dressing as a utility company employee. Other security experts are saying the attacks could be the handy work of a disgruntled employee or of terrorists probing the nation’s infrastructure to see how long it takes for repairs and the extent of the disruption.
This is the fourteenth attack of its kind since last summer, which leads many to wonder if this is simply the work of a lone vigilante, or a possible military retaliation from China, Russia or any of the other handful of countries the United States government is currently indirectly fighting through proxy means.
